Wild Grief

A ceremonial space to acknowledge and honor the unrecognized emotional effect of living within the climate crisis

Saturday, February 22, 2020

9:00-11:30 AM

We are living in times of extreme change. Times where we are watching the loss of the world as we know it in her full expression. Times that require our whole-hearted and wild grieving of that which is passing away.

We recognize that these are overwhelming times and there can be a tendency to disconnect. Our intention is to do just the opposite—connect with the grief of losing what we hold so dear, and reconnect with what we love in the hope that it become a catalyzing force for our positive and productive change in the world.

Come join us as we create a ceremonial space to name, acknowledge and honor the unrecognized emotional effect of living within the climate crisis.

There is a brokenness out of which comes the unbroken,
a shatteredness out of which blooms the unshatterable.
There is a sorrow beyond all grief which leads to joy
and a fragility out of whose depths emerges strength.

Mandy Bishop is a nature-based coach, guide, writer, farmer and artist.  She works therapeutically with individuals and small groups, incorporating her training with trauma, grief and loss, partswork and rites of passage with her years of experience with ceremony, ancestral skills, and creative expression to meet clients where they are, and guide them towards the remembrance of their unique truth. She’s in service to the remembrance of our wild selves; to a partnership between nature, creativity and soul; and to the wisdom carried in our bones waking us up to what is most important in our lives.

The Group

This will be a one time offering for a small group of individuals that may grow into an ongoing group in the future. We will explore what grief is culturally and presently through ceremony, incorporating our relationship with nature and our bodies as guides and resources. The cost of this group is $35. Please feel free to contact either Eve or Mandy with any questions you may have.

In order to plan appropriately for the group, we do ask that you sign up using the button below if you’d like to join us.
