Walking Meditations in Nature

Wednesday Mornings, 7:30-8:30am

Boulder, Colorado

“No, we don’t need more sleep. It’s our souls that are tired, not our bodies. We need nature. We need magic. We need adventure. We need freedom. We need truth. We need stillness. We don’t need more sleep. We need to wake up and live.” ~Brooke Hampton

Come on out for a little mid-week drop into a walking meditation in the forest of Boulder. It’s nothing fancy really, just a sweet hour of disconnecting from the crazy, and re-connecting to our bodies and the beauty and mystery of nature. Basically, a sort of a gentle hiking club for people who want to connect in a mindful way.

We hike, find a spot to sit, and drop into a guided meditation, connecting with our senses and the healing power of the natural world. Each walk ends with a sharing of hot tea made from local plants/trees.

*This is not rooted in any formal meditation practice—more than anything these meditations are a spontaneous mix of body scan and sensory awareness within whatever is arising in the moment.

All are welcome! This activity is appropriate for all shapes, sizes, colors, ages and athletic abilities.
